a cross the sea in 1877 |
links | hello!
I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to find a passenger traveling from Norway to USA in 1877? I have information that show Ole Pettersen leaving Norway in october 1877 traveling to Hull, England. Is there any records in Hull, England, where do I find online information on passengers after 1875? And so on... Please, any help is great!! |
James E Heg | I looked at New York arrivals for 1877. I found an Ole Pedersen arriving in a ship via Bermuda, name FHA PITT. Mr Pedersen was 22, occupation Seaman, place of origin Norway, intended destination Norway. That is the only 1877 entry at NYC that comes close. |

I'm sorry but this is most likely not the man I'm looking for. He is born in 1846, and I belive he was heading towards Galesville, wis. He might go by the name Ole Pettersen Libakken.
If anyone know how I can find records about him crossing the sea... |

Search for "Foreldre bosted" (place of residence of parents) = "Fægringeie"...
