James E Heg | Børge - I copied 1866 and believe I got most of them. I then looked at 1868 and almost could not believe it! Something on the order of 1200 Norwegians arriving NYC! I copied all but one ship, MANHATTEN (program would not recognize). I am sending these along as well. The ships are: JOHN BRIGHT, CITY OF WASHINGTON, FRANCE, CITY OF BALTIMORE, CITY OF BOSTON, PENNSYLVANIA, and COLORADO. No info on the ships but you can probably get some from the <shipslist>. The names indicate they all belong to one or two lines.
I then copied 1867 - a very slow year. Ships: ALEX D MARSHALL, CITY OF BOSTON, CITY OF BALTIMORE, SCOTIA, MALTA, TARIFA, VIRGINIA, and RUSSIA (Ole Bull is the only passenger from Norway).
Two comments. 1. There must have been a real manpower shortage in Norway in 1869; 2. Your transcribers have a lot of work to do. I hope this material does not discourage them.
