OLSEN
thericeysI am currently researching my family tree. I am back to my great grand father I have his name from a Marriage licence dated 22 December 1893. The spelling of his first name looks like INJIBURK (OLSEN) his son BERNHARD was my grand father, I belive he was a bosun, firstmate or captain born in Christiansand in 1855 and died in 1908. He married my grandmother Annie Murray from Liverpool ( Irish descended) and they lived in Liverpool. His father is listed as an " Iron Moulder". can anybody help me with this ?
ninakarlsMaybe you could supply more info about Peter, birth year, date of emigration, anything?
jwiborgHi, you should try to locate Annie Murray from Liverpool in the 1901 Census of England and Wales. If you find Annie, the census should give you her husbands full name and age, and if you're lucky: his birthplace in Norway... [:)] Then you can use the Norwegian census and birth-records to locate him in Norway. Your info so far is not enough to proceed in Norway. And Injiburk is for sure NOT a first name in Norway. The most popular names for men born around 1870 starting with "In" was: Ingvald, Ingebrigt, Ingebret, Ingvard, Inge, Ingeleiv, Ingval and Ingolf. Could it be any of those? Jan
