John	I´m searching for a passengerlist of the SS Rotterdam wich arrrived 21-3-1873 in New York. Can someone help me?
James E Heg	John - I had a look Only 6, 428 Norwegians arrived New York in 1873. No SS Rotterdam found. My search engine can't cope with 6,428. If you have a name or port of departure it would help. Jim
John	Sorry, you are right. Departure from Rotterdam Netherlands, arrival New York. The book of Swierenga is talking about a ship called "Marcelino" but this is a mistake. It´s the first ship wich traveled from Rotterdam to New York by a company called "Holland America Line" after the ship returned.
James E Heg	I have found the voyage. SS ROTTERDAM arrived New York from Rotterdam on 17January, 21 March (your inquiry), 20 May, 16 July, 15 September, 21 November in 1873. A total of 1,295 persons landed. All from Germany or Holland. Not sure I can get you a list. Data bank will not sort by month w/o some other data. Do you have a name? Jim
John	Hello James, I also have good news. I got the first page of the list. Captain was mister J. Hees en de ship arrived 21 march 1873 in New York. A pitty my family isn´t on this page. If you want a copy just let me know. I´m searching for the names of Henricus Peskens and Petronella Kraan. Also the family Peter Joannes Aerts en Peter Jacobus Martinus Aerts en Henricus Aerts together with Anna Catharina Aerts. Where did you find it? Thanks in advance John
James E Heg	John - I get my information from Ancestory.com. They have a data base for immigrant ships arriving New York 1851-1891. Unfortunately, one must be a subscriber to use this data base. You could visit their site and decide if it is worth it for you. Jim
