feeder ships
saami	I found information on the digitalarkivet website regarding my gg grandparents. I found the ships they left norway on and I am aware that they went thru england but that is where i loss them i also know the date they left norway but can someone inform me where i need to search to find their arrival in either canada or the states. i have not been sucessful in my search in england, or do i have to search elsewhere.[?]
thelebrity	If you have the name of the ship and the departure date from Norway, it should be possible to narrow the search a lot. he different shipping lines had quite spesific routes, so if your ancestors didn't "fool around" in Britain they would be leaving on the line's first possible ship. Which you will be able to find in the USA immigration databases (for instance the Ellis Island database) If you post ship name and departure date here, I'm sure you will get help.
