Hannah Parr passengers
espino	Hi! I am looking for one of my ancestors travelling with the infamous Hannah Parr from Christiania apr 12 1868, arr Quebec July 28. Her name is Karen Torgersdatter from Øyer, Norway, borned sept 11 1844. She travelled with her husband Erik Olsen Klevmoen and their child Ole Eriksen borned 1867. Do anyone know where they where going after arriving Canada. Did they make the voyage at all? If anyone know how I could follow their tracks, I will be very happy, Best regards and thanks for a fascinating site!
Jo Anne Sadler	"Do anyone know where they where going after arriving Canada" - the moving out register for their parish should indicate their final destination, the microfilms can be rented at a Family History Center. The information maybe listed in a local farm history book. "Did they make the voyage at all?" They are listed on the Hannah Parr passenger list on this site. [:)]
espino	Thanks Jo. Problem one is that I live in a rural district in Norway where the Family Centers with microfilms for hire is a rather seldom occurance... Problem two is that I do not know if they survived because the canadian emmigrant sources on the net do not cover this year (?), and I can not find any tracks of them anywhere else. So I still hope someone knows if they survived their voyage. If I didnt know they where on the ship, I would probably found a different heading for this cry for help from a newbi on the site. [:)]
Brining	Hi There is a possibility in the 1880 census [url="http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/census/household_record.asp?HOUSEHOLD_CODE=1880US_6514553&HOUSEHOLD_SUB=1&frompage=5"]Click Here[/url] There is Eric and Ole about the correct age but the wife's name is Catrena. I have tried to find them in the 1900 census and see if there is an immigration year but no luck yet. Carla
espino	Thanks a lot Carla! This seems to be a good match! In another version of the census her name is written Katreena, and they probably "americanized" their family name to Olson. She was my great-great-grandmother´s sister. Maybe you have solved our family mystery??? Best regards, espino

espino	Thnx again, Carla, this seem to be the right place. In the 1880 census for Rock County, Dunn, WI, I also find Karens two brothers who went in 1880. This can´t be a coinsidence! Wish you all the best, espino
Trond	Erik Olsen Klevasven 36, Karine Torgersdtr 24, Ole 9 months old left Øiers prestgjeld for Quebec on the Hanna Parr in 1868. Johannes Eriksen 68 traveled with them. Ref. Christiania Emigrantprotokoll No. 1
