Maren Hoff or Christian Hoff
WestwindRV	Believe she traveled from Norway between 1860 to 1870. Maren was born in Norway on April 26, 1848 and came to the United States at the age of 18 in about 1866. She sometimes used the name of Mary or Marie. Her fathers name was Christian. Many family papers indicate last name was Huff or Hoff She married Hans Peter Vick in Wilmar, Kandiyohi County, Minnesota, on 14 Sep 1874. Peter Vick immigrated from Denmark and arrived in NY in 1869 or 1870 on the Allemania. They moved to North Dakota in 1892 and remained there until 1902 when they homesteaded in Weyburn, Saskatechwan, Canada. Peter died in 1908 and Maren went to live with her sons at Assinaboia, Saskatchewan, Canada until 1915. Maren then moved to Ophiem, Montana where she homesteaded and lived until her death on Jan 15, 1924. Would love to locate her parents in Norway and also to identify the ship and the date when she came to America.
