| Borge | Additional info concerning passenger # 219 Ole Kjonaas and family, received from Russell Krueger of Plattsmouth, NE.
My Great Great Great Grandfather was Ole Kjonaas (number 219 ). His wife was Ingeborg Kjonaas. She died on the passage to the U.S. The family changed the last name to Evenson after arriving in Wisconsin. My Great Great Grandfather then eventually changed his name back to Kjonaas. His decedents and a family from North Dakota are the only two families named Kjonaas in the U.S. That information came from his Great Uncle Manley Kjonaas. |
