| batesy | I am trying to find information on a ship named above. My ggrandfather arrived in Australia on 24 December 1868 aboard this ship. The information I have so far which apparently is that the ship was in Chincha and Callao (Peru)Captained by Johan Matthiesen collecting its cargo of guano. It then sailed to Mauritius and from there onto Australia landing at Hobsens Bay. On 18 January the ship sailed for Guam without my ggrandfather. With the information I have managed to find out so far is that with a name like Boy Bendixen it is likely to be a Danish ship. I have been unable to track this ship down anywhere. There must be some information about it out there somewhere. Does anyone have any information on where I might find this ship info. I have searched Danish sites but without reading danish it makes the task more difficult. There are a few Danish sites on the net which mention Bendixen and one even mentioning Boy Bendixen but it turns out that they are referring to a person.
Is there someone that can help.
