| PotteryMama | Martin Johnson sailed on the brig "Victoria" from Arendal in February 1853, along with his immediate family (wife Margaret, children Antoinette, Bertha, Otto and Martha) an uncle Guntuon and aunt Olena (last names not known) and the Shefstad family. They arrived at the port of New Orleans Mar27, where they stayed on board for two days then proceeded to Galveston, where they disembarked.
I would like some basic information on how to find where this family came from and how to begin Norweigan genealogy research ...
