| davepat | I am looking for information about Edward Norton and his children Arthur and Florence who may have departed Gloucester, Mass., or Boston Mass. for Norway.
Arthur was born in Sarpsborg, Norway in 1859 and according to the 1900 U.S. census for Gloucester, Mass, he arrived in the U.S. in 1880. He married Matilda Johnson in 1895. The 1900 census also shows that Edward became a naturalized American and that Matilda was from Finland.
Matilda died in the early 1900s. Arthur and the children left Gloucester for points unknown after 1907. Neither he or his children are found in the U.S. census returns for 1910, 1920, or 1930 in Massachusetts or in any other state.
I would like to search any available passenger departure lists for Gloucester and Boston, bound for Norway, to see if perhaps Arthur and the children went back to Norway to live.
