| inlaggen | I had good luck. While researching one of my relatives I found mention of the ship they sailed on. This is good because passenger list from Canada prior to 1867 were not kept. The family left Gausdal (Oppland) on 2 April 1857 and sailed on the De Tre Brødre (left Christiania on April 21 and arrived Quebec May 26).
The family was:
Johan Gundersen Indlæggingen (Reistad-eie)
Kone: Eli Pedersdatter Waalen
Born: Gunder, Elias, Mathea, Pauline, and Anne
They ended up in Scandinavia, Wisconsin except Gunder who settled in Burbank Township, Minnesota.
