Roberta	I'm trying to locate a passenger list for the State of Nevada leaving Glasgow on Feb 26 and arriving in New York on March 10 of 1882. My great grandmother, Gesine Gabrielson (Gabrielsdtr or Gabrielsdatter), supposedly left Kristiansand, Norway on 2/16/1882, Glasgow on 2/26 and arrived in New York on 3/10 and was married 3 days later in Ishpeming, MI. The State of Nevada seems to be the ship she may have been on according to the information on this website. Searches for this passenger list have not been fruitful. Anyone with any firm leads will be very much appreciated. Thanks,

Hopkins	The United States National Archives and the LDS Family History Library would have microfilm copies of any surviving passenger lists for New York for that time period. The LDS library catalog indicates that New York passenger lists for the time period 9 Mar 1882-8 Apr 1882 should be available on LDS microfilm # 1027018. The National Archives would have the same film - but a numbering and cataloging system entirely of their own device.
Roberta	The Gesine in the digitalarkivet looks like it is my great-grandmother as she was born in 1862. Thank you - it verifies what I have heard so far. I have tried to make my way around that site without too much success, usually whenever I try to change it to English, it jumps back to the main page. I am trying to find what ship she came over on. What does the heading "Fag" mean and what is Pige, do you know?
