| Teppie19 | My great grandmother, Clara Amelia Tapio, was born in Kristiana, Norway, June 22, 1887. She and her family immigrated to America when she was about 6 months old. Her Father's name was Karl Tapio, he was born in Vadso, Finmark, Norway Jul 1859, to Johan Abram Tapio and Sarah Grete Johanessdauter Varala. Karl married Hilda Bjork sometime around 1881.
I know nothing about Hilda Bjork, except that she was born in Sept 1865 (supposidly in Finland but I can find no record of her there) and died Oct. 5, 1952 in Meeker County, MN. It has always been told to us that Hilda had a twin sister, she left behind in Norway, when she and her husband left for America with their two children. Is there anybody who might be able to tell me where to start looking for information on Hilda?
