Great-grandparents voyage 1907?
rcsmith	I am trying to find my great-grandparents. Unfortunately, once they got to Canada, they never discussed their past, so my grandmother does not have much information. This is what I know: Marie Christiansen(born Oct 24, 1887) married Carl Alfred Olsen (born Jan 5, 1885) and they had a daughter named Elise Olsen, born May 19, 1907. They left Kristiania when Elise was a baby, great-grandmother was very sick during the voyage, so great-grandfather looked after the baby. Apparently great-grandfather remembers seeing the Statue of Liberty so I assume they came through Ellis Island (could not find anything in their database). They came to Notch Hill, British Columbia to stay with a cousin named Kristofferson. Elise died at 10 months in Notch Hill. Any ideas where I should try to find Marie and Carl's families?
Brining	If you go to Digitalarkivet (link to this site is under links on the main page) you can search the Emigrant registers. I found Karl Alfred Andreass. Nerengen (Ols.) Marie and Elise Marie. They left Oslo June 8 1907, destination BC Canada. Their residence in Norway is listed as Lunner Nittedalen (located in Oppland muncipality). The 1900 census list Karl with father Andreas Ols. and mother Lina Marie Ingebrigtsd. Marie may be hard to find not knowing her fathers name but there is a Marie Gudbrandsd. born in 1887 in Lunner which is a possibility. Carla
