| ChristieAnn | I can't read or speak Norwegian, but, have post cards that we are trying to decypher. One I have is a photo of a farm. I know the farm was in Hjelmeland. But there is a dash then the word Krame. We have started to trace some lines in our genealogy and have so far 5 generations back on my mothers-mothers side. We have some work on my grandmothers-father. I would love to k.now if this was a farm that was part of the family history. As I am sure my grandmother would be thrilled! She has no idea what we are up to. Her 87th birthday is this August and we would like to surprise her with our information! Great-grandmother was Karina Pedersdtr. Bjelland born 1892. | Hopkins | Hjelmeland is in Rogaland, Norway. The 1900 Norwegian census shows farms in Hjelmeland by the names of Bjelland, Hetland and Kvame.
