Floan?
Shaftsbury	I have traced my ancestory back to a Per/Peder Laren/Larsen Floan b: 1700 in the Mære gard historie, for Skatval, Nord-Trondelag. Can anyone tell me if Floan is a farm? or would it have some other meaning? Thanks
Jo Anne Sadler	Fløan Østre, #55, is a farm in Skatval. Recommend you contact the Skatval Historical Society. The site is all in Norwegian but you can send them an email. They have recently published farm history books, I have Book 1 but it only goes up to #39. Believe #55 would be in the second book. They could probably help you get in touch with relatives. www.tronderlag.org - has links to the various historical societies in the area.
