John "Joe" Oles. Hove who left for America on April 25, 1851. (His parents were Ole Larson. Hove and Kari Andersdatter. Ovri.) A genealogist has been most helpful to obtain this information for us. He felt he would have come into Quebec. Is there any information that someone has that could help us with the ship he would have came on and also how he would have gotten to the Dane County, Wisconsin, area? Also is there a book or articles on the internet that explains the lifestyle of the immigrants when they arrived in America that I could use for research purposes. |
