| gica | Hello! I am trying to find my gt gt grandparents. They were from Dovre, I think. Here is what I know:
Ragnild Johnson daughter of
Jacob Johnson and Guri Olsdatter?? I know Ragnild Ragnhild? was from Dovre. But I have yet to find her. She came to America in 1891. She married Nels (olson) Grande in 1903. Her birth is 1883. She had a brother named Alfred, and possibly a sister named Oline. I found an 1891 emigrants list of Kristiania that listed the following: Guri Ols. age 41,
Johan Ols. age 11, Oline Ols. age 9, Ragnhild Ols. age7. the name looked to be abreviated. So not sure if Olson, or Olsdatter, or what?? They were headed for Mason, and they DID settle in Mason, WI. and from word of mouth, etc I heard that Ragnild came over around age 8. Alas, I can find no paper trail, what do I do??
