First of all, "Harry" was not a common norwegian name in those days.
There is noone called "Harry Robertsen" in the norwegian 1865 census.
Dont' you know anything else? Approx. year of birth? Any other names (places, relatives...)? How sure are you about his emigration year?
Even names of his children could be a clue, since they could have been named after his parents.
I would guess that his name in Norway was Henrik, which is the norwegian equivalent to Henry (Harry, from french pronouncement).
You're saying that he arrived by boat around 1870, so the people below are probably not relevant, but still; here are 3 emigrants from the Trondheim Emigrant-database:
11.JUN.1907 Henrik J. Robertsen, married, born 1877 from Narvik, going to Boston, Mass
05.JAN.1910 Henrik L. Robertsen, married, born 1868 from Levanger/Skogn, going to Cobalt, Ontario
12.JUN.1912 Henry Marvel Robertsen, child, born 1906 from Levanger, going to Haileybury, Ontario with mother and siblings.

J'ai déja fait des recherches a propos d'un Harry Roberton/Robertsen .Tu n'as qu' a aller dans forum search sur ce site et tu demande pour Robertsen.Si c'est le meme Harry/Henrick tu n'a qu'a me contacter sur ce site,j'y suis regulierement.

Merci beaucoup Jan et tous les autres pour porter attention et l'aide que vous pouvez m'apporter.
J'ai regardé ce que dis stef à propos de Hendry Robertsen et je crois que nous parlons de la même personne. Comme vous pouvez le constater, un réel mystère entoure notre famille et nous voudrions y mettre fin. Toutes les informations que stef a apporté sont véridiques, puisque je ne le connais pas et que j'arrive exactement aux mêmes recherches de mon côté. Je crois que si vous voulez m'aider, fiez-vous sur ce que stef a écrit sur Hendry Robertsen. Il est vrai que Hendry aurait sauté du bateau et aurait été déclaré mort, ainsi que toute l'histoire qu'il décrit. SVP, aidez nous a trouver d'où nous venons.

| Minibizz | Je viens de me souvenir d'une information-peut-être pourrait-elle donner un piste, on sais jamais.
Ce n'est certes pas grand choses : mon père m'a indiqué que Hendry Robertsen maîtrisait cinq langue différentes dont le Norvégien, l'anglais, le français ainsi que deux autres. Celà pourrait peu-etre indiquer que c'était une personne très instruite qui aurait pu faire des études.
