Translation help, please!
skbristolI've been translating a lot of bygdebøk pages lately and need help with a couple phrases. If somebody could translate the following for me, I'd really appreciate the help. Thank you! Sara[:D]
skbristolI just found another one: * Han fikk skjøte på garden, men han var her bare et par år. Thanks so much![:)]
Odd HansenHello ! In addition to this he was the owner of Jerpstad which he probably runned together with Holter but he was also the owner of Jerpstad og Veset and lived probably on all this farms from time to time Ole Olsen got ( skjøte =the paper one get when taking over a proberty) for Veset in 1704. but some months later he did again give the "skjøte" concerning the farm to Ole Halvorsen Holter. Ole Olsen did continue to run the farm as a tenant farmer In the administration of the estate after Anne Andersdtr death in 1711 its says that the property value on 82 Riksdaler. That was all I have time for this morning, have to run of to work. All the best Odd Hansen
ObelixSkjøte - Deed of conveyane [8)]
Odd HansenHello again ! He got the deed of conveyane ( thanks Obelix ) for the farm, but stayed there for only a couple of years. In this short time he managed to build himself a new main building. The building had the length of 2 logs and contained a big living room, bedroms and a kitchen. All the best Odd
skbristolOdd and Obelix, thanks to you both. I appreciate the help. These bygdebøker are really great -- I have found so much about my ancestors in Norway. Sara Yakima, Washington[:I]
