Loen Im looking for Syver Villumsen Haahjem (Haahem) from Olden in Innvik, Nordfjord. He went from Bergen in 28 april 1869. He went for USA. Whitch ship did he go with. Where did he go. Syver (Sivert) was born at 8 june 1845. All tracks stopped in Bergen. Loen
Jo Anne SadlerHere is the Bergen record, it states his birthdate as 1846 and the Allan shipping line: click here According to the information on this site, the Allan Line operated routes from Glascow and Liverpool to New York, Philadelphia, Quebec & Montreal and Baltimore, Maryland. I could not find him in the New York online database.
LoenThis stuff did i know about.
BorgeWell, it certainly looks as if he lived in Indvigen in 1881, as that is what is listed as place of residence. According to the records Jo Anne pointed to he departed Bergen May 20 1881. If he went over in 1869 he must have come back, and stayed in Norway for some time before returning in 1881.
LoenSeems i mix some data with his brother. Sory about that. Here is the data - Syver Villumsen Haahjem – born 8 june 1845.- Travel from ” Indvigens Præstegjeld ” the date of 21 april 1881. Travel further from Bergen harbor til America at date of 20 may 1881. Thats all i have of information. Loen
