SueHi Lill, Allan Line did not sail directly from Norway in 1902, but from Liverpool and Glasgow. In the 1870s Allan Line did have a short-lived feeder ship service from Norway to Britain, but most Norwegian emigrants would take Wilson Line "feeder ships" to Hull, England, the "tramsmigrants" would then take the train to Liverpool or Glasgow. To estimate the North American arrival date, just add two weeks +/- to the Norwegian departure date. In 1902, Allan Line was sailing (mostly) from Liverpool and Glasgow to Quebec (summer) and Halifax (winter). There were a few Glasgow-Boston trips April-August and 27 trips Glasgow-New York .. a few which sailed from Liverpool, also arrived at Philadelphia. If your emigrants were destined to the US mid-west, then they probably arrived via Quebec or Halifax. Here is the Allan Line Fleet list http://www.theshipslist.com/ships/lines/allan.html Sue
