I'm trying to find some records of a relative that was born in Norway. This is what's on the 1901 English census:
CRAVEN, Cyril. Born: 1869 Norge Norsk Norway.
He married a woman in Market Harborough, Leicestershire, England by the name of Agnes Ellen Scampton and they were wed in June 1899.
As Cyril isn't on the 1891 English census, it is quite possible that he travelled from Norway sometime between 1891 and 1899.
I'm just trying to find out what information is held about him on Norweigan records or even details of his journey to England.
Sadly, I don't know much about Norway but I am assuming that Cyril Craven is not a particularly Norweigan sounding name? Maybe he changed his name when he arrived in England? Some feedback would be appreciated here. Thanks.
