Searching for info
tribalha	Hei! I am searching for info about my old uncle, Olaf Kjorstadmoen, born in 1910-1911, Sør-Fron in Gudbrandsdalen. His fathers name was Ole A. Stendalen b.1888. He had 7 sisters and 1 brother: Marit, Karen, Inga,Kari, Olga, Anne, Martha and Erling. Martha b.1925 was my mother, she passed away in 1990. They are all passed away, so all I know about Olaf is that he went to America when my mother was a child, maybe in the 30`s. And I think he visit Marit in Sør-Fron some years ago. I remember my mother talked about Minneapolis, so I guess he is living or have living there, at least in Minnesota. If anyone have info about Olaf, please send me an e-mail. With that, you might be able to find him in the free Rootsweb.com social security database that lists people who died after 1961 and whose death had been notified to the SSA. www.rootsweb.com Also, finding him in the police protocols to know his exact date of departure with destination would provide information. He most likely did not go by Kjorstadmoen in U.S. Our Federal census are not available after 1930.
