He emigrated to the USA in the early 1900, his father was Ole Jørgensen b.1852 and his mother was Anna Johansdatter b.1849. There is a possibility he used his middle name Teodor, and that he changed his last name to either Jørgensen (like his father) og Varnes (his fathers farm name).
