Need Help Please
lemark	Am trying to find my husbands grandparents which came to America in 1903 and settled in South Dakota.Names are Ole and Guro Bakkene. Ole was born 8/24/1865 and Guro a year later.There was at least 4 kids with them Einar,Christian,Tonetta and Erick.I do not know what ship or what port they came to.Any information will be greatly appreciated.
Borge	They were registered on August 28th, 1903 - departing for Hull in England on the Wilson Line ship S/S Angelo. Unfortunatley, the information about the transatlantic line was not included when the records were transcribed, so you need to check that in the original source. The records are filmed. In the emigration records they are named Ellefsbakkene. Their home was at Søndre Aurdal. Below are links to the Kristiania Police record, and the 1900 census showing your family.
