| Toelita | I'm looking for my grandfather Ole Gunther Hagen, born June 7, 1870, in Laardal. He emigrated to Wisconsin when he was 16...so 1886 or 7, to Wisconsin. All I can find in the family bible is his father as Gunder Hagen and mother Kristi. He married in Wisconsin a Theo Olena Torgerson, born August 4 1877 in Clear Lake Wisconsin Her father was Bjurkef Torgerson, mother Bergit Thorsdatter, both from Norway. In the 1880 Wisconsin census Bjurkef was Berger Torgerson with 6 children; Tiger 19, margaret 15, betsy 13, all born in Norway; then Emma 8, Sophia 6, and Lena 2, born in Wisconsin, and by 1880 he was a widower. This census was for Polk county, township Clear Lake. Am I right to assume they came over here somewhere around 1867 to 1872?
