| Birtles | Have been unsuccessful on my line of searching for the above Thomas Pederson as a mariner/pilot so am trying to find his baptism or a marriage for his parents. A Thomas Pedersen aged 2 parents Peder Poulsen [46] and Ellen K Jendstr [35] found in Lister Christiansand on the 1801 census, it appears it was Ellen's 2nd marriage, I think!! I have not been able to find the marriage of Peder to Ellen, can only find marriages to 1776 in Christiansand, am I not looking correctly. There was a Thomas Pedersen on the 1865 census which could fit Thomas on the 1801 census but a check by the archives has proven that these are not one and the same.
There is also a Thomas Pedersen aged 4 in Mandalhs Holme on the 1801 census with parents Peder Thomassen [45] and Ingeborg Larsdtr [47].
Thomas Pedersen and Karen are the only names given as the parents on the marriage of my ggrandfather Andrew Thompson [possibly Andreas Thomassen. This is the reason I am searching for any Thomas Pedersen's. Kind members of the forum have searched through the mariners forum but perhaps they may be able to come up with some advice through baptisms and marriages. Thank you. Joan
