| Kara Ishii | I am looking for information on emigrants Thor Staven and his bride Barbro Myolid/Mjolid (whom he married in Norway) and their parents and siblings. They came to the USA in 1874 with their seven children--Arni, Truls, Tollef, Paul, Gertrude, Iver and Knute, who were born in Norway. They came to Spring Grove, Minn. Thor Stavn was born Sept 8, 1820, in Kalsrud, Norway, and grew up in Trostheim in Flaa. Thor's father was Aadne Gjeringo from Gol. His mother's name was perhaps Christi Gullingsrud. Thor married Barbro Myolid, daughter of Truls Gjeirteryg and Gjertrud Paulsdatter Reud. Barbro came from a large Gaard or farm in Sohndalen to Ness. She was born Sept. 1, 1838. Thor was a farmer. They were Lutherans. Any information on them would be most appreciated! Thank you!
