Isak Rova med familj emigrerade 1865
S.TorikkaISAK ISAKSSON ROVA (f. 1835), hans hustru MARGARETA/GRETA ISAKSDOTTER (f. 1838), samt barnen: 1. JOHAN (f. 1858) 2. BRITA KATARINA (f. 1859) 3. ISAK (f. 1861) 4.
AdminHej Sture (We have transcribed all available passenger lists of sailing ships departing Norway with emigrants in 1886, se links below) Vi har skrevet av alle de passasjerlistene som gjelder for seilskip i 1865, og som lar seg skrive av. Du kan søke her: http://www.norwayheritage.com/pasquest.asp eller bla liste for liste her: http://www.norwayheritage.com/p_year.asp?ye=1865 Webmaster
S.TorikkaBut you're telling us following: "Only passengers with Norwegian (Scandinavian) names have been transcribed", so how can I know for sure that theese "Swedish-Finns" is in those lists? ST

Yes I know, there is no way you can tell without actually checking those steamship lists your self. However, we have transcribed the passenger lists of ships sailing directly from Norway (by sail) in full as they were available. There are lacunes. We are doing this project on a non-profit basis besides full time jobs and family, so we have to do things step by step. Børge Solem
S.TorikkaHej, yes, I can really understand that kind of problems (not having the time for researches, families, and so), but I wonder if it's possibly to loan these films to look for yourself? Can I hire them to my home? /ST
BorgeSture Yes it is possible, if you read the section about Canadian arrivals in the article about "Hunting Passenger Lists", you will find information about that, and links to NAC where you will find further instructions. Børge Solem Edited by - borge on 22/05/2002 14:19:35
