Passengers 1844 | |
alice rudo | My grandmother told me that her mother who came over on the Washington, 1844, told her that the Irish women and Norwegian women didn't get along on the voyage - they threw boiling water on each other and the Capt. had to draw a line with a rope and insist each stay on her side of it. That was very shocking for a little girl to hear - was her grandnother wrong? Now - I don't see any passengers whose residence was Ireland - |
Borge | There is nothing to indicate that there were any Irish emigrants traveling on the Washington from Porsgrunn in 1844. Børge Solem |
