Did they leave Stavanger?
randerson	According to the digitlarkivet,line 36694& 36695, my ggrandfather (Torkell Endresen)and ggrandmother (Marta Thaletta Assersdtr) left Stavanger in 1889. The 1900 Census for Hoyland, shows that they are living there at that time. Does the digitlarkivet mean they actually emigrated or only that they had applied for emigration? I'd been told that my grandmother came from Norway alone. I know that some of their children came to the US in 1884 and after. Thanks for your help]
Borge	It is not possible to determine as the Digitalarkivet entry has no reference to the source. If the source was the church moving list, that does not actually give any proof to say they did move the same year as they asked for their attests. You could try to post to the [url="http://digitalarkivet.uib.no/cgi-win/WebDebatt.exe?slag=listtema&debatt=brukar&spraak=e"]Digitalarkivet debate forum[/url] and ask what the source might be for the information.
