vaterland ship 1914
michele	Hi there, I am looking for any information about the ship named Vaterland that arrived at ellis island on October 24, 1914. I was told that my great grandmother Olga Marie Gulbranson came to the United States on the ship--I have searched everywhere and I can't find anything showing this boat coming into New York on this date--any help would be welcomed. An arrival date of 10/24/1914 seems questionable since Vaterland was held in New york at the outbreak of war in August. Have you checked at NARA for Registers of Vessals arriving from foreign ports 1789-1919 M1066? Vaterland's very short early history as a passenger liner should make an arrival easy to find. Best, JK
