Battling to find the parents and siblings of:
Carl Oscar Iversen, b. 1876 Kristiania
Clara Lovise Johnsen, b. 1879 Aalesund
Late special: Carl's father was probably Fritjof !
Also their emigration to South Africa circa 1890's details.
Any help out there ?

| ninakarls | There's one Fritjof Iversen born 1853 in the 1875-census for Kristiania. Sister: Anne Karine, born 1857. Address: Smalgangen 13.
This is probably the family in the 1865-count, address: Fjerdingens Gade. Parish: Vor Frelsers, all born in Christiania (Oslo):
Iver Christens. Stenhugger=Stonemason 45
Karen Hans. Wife 34
Frithjof Albert Christian Ivers. Son 13
Halfdan Einar Ivers. Son 5
Inga Alfride Sophie Iversd. Daughter 11
Anne Karine Iversd. Daughter 9
Sørine Hans. Wife's mother, widow 55

2.Church records of Vor Frue Parish are held at Riksarkivet in Oslo:

3.Clara Lovise Johnsen may have left Norway before 1900, then the only way to find her would be church records for Aalesund, held at Riksarkivet in Trondheim . She's not in the emigration lists from Aalesund, but you can search other Norwegian ports here:

Nov. 23 1914 on the Union Castle Line, Nikoline Johansen b. 28/1 1876, married, living in Johannesburg, Afrika (aut.fører=chauffer?) returned home after a visit in Aalesund. Could she be related?
