Berg b. 1848 and mother Julia Unknown b. 1837 Both were born in Norway but list no farm names as clues. Gina had one brother Ole C. Berg and two sisters Caroline and Nattalie. Brining	Yes and there are only 519 farms named Berg in the 1865 census (not including variations) Your best bet is to gather as much info as you can in Canada and the US. Did the whole family move to Canada? If not you should try and find Peter or Julia on the 1900 US census. That would give you a year they immigrated. Try and get copies of death certificates, obituaries, marriage licesnses, naturaliazation papers, birth certificates of anyone you can in the family. Any of them could give you hints as to where they came from in Norway. The Digitalarkivet has the census and emigrant registers if you want to try finding them.
