USA PORTS OF ENTRY
martyj	What other ports did the immigrants come to here in the USA? I was told that the person I'm looking for came thru the Great Lakes. I do know I can't find her coming thru Ellis Island. She arrived in America between 1900 and 1902. Thanks for any help. Martyj@adelphia.net Martha Johnson
asladky	Many ships came down the St Lawrence to Quebec. Passengers would then go overland to Detroit, entering the country there. Then they would either take a steamer to MN/WI or travel overland by train to reach their destination.
