Halvor Cleophas came to America with his parents Cleophas and Kari Halvorson. He eventually married Sigrid Gravedale. They had seven children. Halvor was a soldier in the Civil War. He died 18 April 1837 and is said to have been the last survivor of the Norwegian-born Civil War soldiers. Luther Valley Centennial 1839-1939
