This is Gunhild Marthea Pedersdatter, b. 6 Jul 1829, Ulshuslien, Nordsinni, Nordre Land, Oppland, Norway, the daughter of Peder Hovelsen (1802-bef 1880) and Gunhild Marthea Gudbrandsdatter (1799-aft 1880). She ultimately removed to Rock Prairie settlement, Rock County, Wisconsin (several other passengers from this ship ended up here too), and alternately went by the name Marthea Brendingen (name of farm she originated from). She and others from this ship are mentioned in Flom's "History of Norwegian Immigration in the United States..." (1909). She married Bernt Iverson Lund on 7 Oct 1851 in Rock County, Wisconsin. The couple settled in Perry Twp., Dane County, Wisconsin, and had 10 children. She died 11 Oct 1914 and is buried in the (old) York Cemetery, in rural Blanchardville, Lafayette County, Wisconsin.
