Emily Olson (11.09.2012)

I am Anne's great-grand daughter. It is my understnanding that her daughter Mari Gulbrandsen was the one who passed away from the measels whlie aboard ship. My grandfather is one of their children who was born in the United States.

David Olson (27.05.2017)

I believe there is an error in the records. Anne Østensen was my great-grandmother and her daughter was Mari Gulbrandsdatter. The record shows Anne died and Mari survived the trip. However, Mari died of measles and Anne survived the trip. Anne died in 1906 in Tennessee after moving there from Wisconsin. David Olson guarana53@att.net
