Morten Pedersen Gabhol lived from December 17, 1819 to June 11, 1898. He homesteaded the southeast quarter of Section 14 in Brule Township, Dakota Territory. He is buried in the St. Paul Lutheran Church cemetery near Elk Point, SD.
