Ingeborg was known as Emma Clementson in the United States. She homesteaded her own land in Brule Township, Dakota Territory. She lived from October 2, 1847 to October 15, 1927. For over 48 years she was united in marriage to Haldor Clementson. Together they enjoyed a long farming career on Sections 8 and 17 of Richland Township, South Dakota. She and Haldor raised five children. She is buried in the St. Paul Lutheran Church cemetery, near Elk Point, SD.
