Ronnaug Mortensdatter lived from 1859 to 1887. She lived on her parents' homestead claim in Brule Township Dakota Territory until her marriage to Andrew Kolen. She died while giving birth To Rena Kolen, who ended up being raised by Ronnaug's sister Ingeborg Mortensdatter Gabhol (Mrs. Haldor Clementson). She is buried in the Floyd Cemetery in Sioux City, Iowa. She has no modern-day descendanys.
