Additional information

Robert Anderson (28.02.2015)

This is almost certainly Syver Skavelden Anderson, born April 19, 1816 in Nord Aurdahl, Oppland, Norway and died December 3, 1895 in Chippewa County, Minnesota. Found with family in Goodhue County Minnesota in 1860 and 1870 census and in Chippewa County in 1880. Emigrated from Nord Aurdahl April 18, 1850 with wife Marit and sons Anders, Erick, Andreas and Syver. Passengers 43 (Anders), 44 (Erick) 45 (Syvert) and 74 (Andreas) are likely his sons, although the ages for Erick (born 1843), Syvert (born 1848) and Andreas (born 1845) do not match their actual ages. Andreas went by the name Henry S. Anderson in America. Passenger 127, Marit Andersdatter, is likely Syvert's wife. Her father was also named Anders and her age is correct.
