Ole Johnsen Hjartsjø born Mai. 1. 1834 on Sud Hjartsjø to lensmann (sheriff)&nbsp;John Torbjørnsen Sud Hjartsjø and Anne&nbsp;Olsdatter Mæland (Hauge Mæland), they married Oct. 16. 1816.<BR>Ole partisipated in the civil war as Ole Johnsen Jarshaw, Privat, wounded. Post war: Lived&nbsp;at Rake Iowa.<BR><BR>Ole´s&nbsp;sister Ragnild Johnsdatter Hjartsjø&nbsp;born 1821 and husband Ole Johnsen and a daughter Ragnhild born 1843 emigrated in 1843 to USA.<BR><BR>Sources; Hjartdalssoga, Hjartdal Historielag "Emigranter from Gvammen og Ytre Hjartdal", &nbsp;Vesterheim Museum and &nbsp;Norwegians in the civil war, Digitised parish records for Hjartdal, Ulvestad page 295.
