Additional Information: | | Submitted by Kendall Mellem, 28. juli 2011 | | The name Karen should be corrected to Maren. The Olsdatter Korsmoe part is correct. She was the daughter of Ole Johansen Kopmoen and his wife, Olea Eriksdatter Skrigerud. Several of her siblings also emigrated, including brother Erik Olsen Mellem, who went to Decorah, Iowa.

(Note: This source gives her marriage to Peder. It incorrectly list her father as Ole Olsen Mellem. Other family records clearly show that her father was Ole Johansen Mellem, as does the 1 Oct 1854 record of her confirmation. This has also been confirmed by relatives in Norway.)

Hunting Passenger Lists | The information in the Norway Heritage Project passenger list database mainly covers New York lists 1828 - 1850, and Canadian lists 1865 - 1875. In some cases information about Norwegian emigrants has also been added from other sources like newspaper announcements, voyage accounts or other random records. There are also entries from the Norwegian Police Emigration Records. For more information read the article *Hunting Passenger Lists*
