Norwegian Community in Baltimore
Baltimore was the only place in Maryland where a distinct group of Norwegians could be said to have formed by 1905. Pastor O. M. Anderson had worked among the Norwegian population for a time, but no Norwegian congregation had been established. Norwegians and people of Norwegian ancestry were also represented among the faculty of Baltimore’s institutions of higher education.
