Norwegian Settlement
A small Norwegian settlement had developed in the vicinity of Hemingford by 1905. Most of the Norwegians there came from Gudbrandsdalen and Numedal, with a smaller number from the Bergen area.
Churches and Congregations
The settlement had one Norwegian church and two congregations, both belonging to the Norwegian Synod.
