Norwegian Settlement
The first Norwegian settler in Hutchinson County was B. O. Hege from Trondheim, who settled in the vicinity of Menno. He was followed by Christen O. Carter from Arendal, who settled at Molan in 1877.
Churches and Congregations
A Norwegian congregation was established in 1879 by Pastor J. Andreason of the Augustana Synod. The congregation later joined the United Church. Its church was built in 1899.
