Norwegian Community
A number of Norwegians lived in and around Port Townsend. By 1905, there were two Norwegian congregations there, one belonging to the United Church and the other to the Methodist Church.
Nordland Settlement
A number of Norwegians also lived in the vicinity of the Nordland post office, a name that itself reflected the Norwegian presence in the area. The Norwegian community there had also established a congregation.
